The Ecobot reduces the volume of organic waste by collecting and shredding food waste as it is produced and then drying it overnight.

The output material (often referred to as a ‘soil conditioner’) is dry, odourless and sterile and the volume is reduced by 80% to 90%. 

Investing in an Ecobot simply allows you to redirect your current waste management budget into a more sustainable and carbon neutral solution than tipping food waste into a diesel truck and shipping it off to landfill or incineration. An Ecobot also helps you comply with food waste segregation legislation and pays for itself within a couple of years.

Although the Ecobot is usually known as a food waste dryer, by adding bacteria before and after the drying process we can kick-start the organic composting process which will help turn the soil conditioner into compost. Note that the addition of bacteria also allows us to categorise the Ecobot as a 'bio-digester' or 'composter'.
